How you are assessed
A recorded hypnotherapy session, a written safety and consent case, and observed in-class practice, marked by David Chen. Written feedback with one free resubmission. A pass is assessed skills in this room. It is not eligibility for a PSA-accredited register.

What does a hypnotherapy-skills programme actually train?
It trains observed hypnosis skills: consent, induction, suggestion and stopping, with a tutor in the room who can fail you. It does not train you as a doctor, a psychotherapist, or a CNHC-registered hypnotherapist. The title hypnotherapist is unprotected in the UK. Checkable registers are a separate, voluntary pathway.
Is hypnotherapy regulated in the UK?
No. No qualification or registration is legally required to practise or use the title. The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council is the hypnotherapy register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. That is a quality signal about the register, not statutory regulation, and nobody can be struck off as a doctor can.

Does this programme lead to CNHC registration?
No. CNHC registration requires training that meets that register's education-provider rules. We do not claim that status. If you need a checkable complementary-therapy register, start from CNHC and work backwards to an eligible school. Observed practice here is still a better buy than an unwatched weekend diploma.
How is this different from a self-paced hypnotherapy diploma?
Someone watches you work. Safety and consent are marked. The certificate states that it is not register eligibility. A self-paced diploma can send you scripts. It cannot tell a client whether you knew when to stop, or whether the claims on your website match any evidence.
Common questions
Can I practise hypnotherapy legally after this?
The title is unprotected, so legally yes if you stay inside a written scope, carry insurance, and do not claim a register you do not hold. Practically, informed clients still ask who watched you.
Will you teach past-life or stage hypnosis?
No. This is a professional-practice programme. Entertainment hypnosis and unverifiable memory work are out of scope.
Is hypnotherapy evidence-based?
Partly. There is reasonable evidence in specific applications such as some IBS and pain work, and much weaker evidence for many marketed uses. We teach that distinction rather than a brochure.
Can I pay in instalments?
