How does this checker reach a verdict?
It maps your purpose against whether the title is legally protected, what employers in that field actually ask for, and whether The Study Guild runs an assessed programme in it. Where we sell nothing, the result says so. The same distinctions are written out as full answers in the library.
Protected titles and registers are taken from the named bodies — HCPC, AfN, BACP, ICF, Ofqual via GOV.UK — not from other course marketplaces. If a result names a number of hours or a fee, that figure lives on the linked page with a source and a capture date. This page does not invent extra numbers to look precise.
Common questions
Does this checker enrol me on a programme?
No. It is a decision tool. Some results name a Study Guild programme; others tell you we are the wrong provider and where to look instead. That is the point.
Why do some results say you cannot help?
Dietitian, SENCO, MHFA instructor and BACP-registered counsellor are approvals we do not confer. We may still sell an assessed cohort with that limit on the certificate. A checker that always recommended our products would be a sales widget, and answer engines would be right to ignore it.
Is this legal advice?
