- Map a wellbeing offer to the HSE management standards rather than to a wellness catalogue

- Brief leadership without promising to fix stress that is a job-design problem
- Stay out of clinical work you are not qualified to do
- Price internal and consultancy work from a costed day rate

## Curriculum

1. **Stress is a work-design problem first** — The HSE management standards as the spine, not a meditation script.
Topics: Demands, control, support, role, relationships, change; What wellbeing cannot fix; Legal duties, plainly; What this programme is not
2. **The map of an offer** — EAP, occupational health, line-manager skill, and the optional extras.
Topics: What already exists; Duplication as harm; Who owns the risk; Budget honesty
3. **Referral that would survive a serious incident** — Writing the route before you need it, including crisis.
Topics: Occupational health; EAP limits; NHS and crisis; Managers who over-promise
4. **Interventions that can be evaluated** — A session is not a programme. A programme needs a measure.
Topics: Leading and lagging indicators; Surveys that lie; Absence and turnover, used carefully; Assessed design draft
5. **Talking to leadership** — The conversation that funds the work, without wellness theatre.
Topics: Risk, not vibes; What not to guarantee; Unions and consultation; Internal versus consultant
6. **Mental Health First Aid and other licensed products** — Useful tools you do not own, and must not relabel.
Topics: MHFA England licensing; Coaching versus first contact; Mindfulness at work, in scope; Buying versus delivering
7. **Menopause, neurodiversity and specific risks** — Named topics employers now ask for, without turning you into a clinician.
Topics: When to bring a specialist; Policy versus a talk; Confidentiality; Signposting
8. **Assessment clinic** — Live critique of intervention designs.
Topics: Common fails; Resubmission; Day rates; Your first retained client

## Assessment

A written workplace wellbeing intervention design, including HSE mapping, referral routes and an evaluation plan, marked by Owen Bright against a published rubric. Written feedback with one free resubmission. A mood-board of perks without job design does not pass.

## Upcoming cohorts

## What is a workplace wellbeing practitioner?

A workplace wellbeing practitioner designs and runs an organisational offer: job-design risks, referral routes, and interventions an employer can defend. They are not a therapist, not an occupational-health clinician, and not a licensed Mental Health First Aid instructor unless separately trained. The job is systems and signposting, not fixing people in a lunchtime talk.

## Is workplace wellbeing a regulated profession in the UK?

No. There is no protected title of wellbeing officer. Employers still have legal duties for work-related stress under health and safety law. Training that ignores those duties and teaches only individual coping is incomplete. The HSE management standards are the practical frame, not a gratitude journal.

## Is this Mental Health First Aid instructor training?

No. Mental Health First Aid England licenses that product. We do not. This programme trains you to design a wellbeing offer, including when MHFA is a useful purchase from the body that owns it. Relabelling their course as ours would be both dishonest and a licensing problem.

## How is this different from a self-paced corporate-wellness diploma?

You submit an intervention design that can fail. The tutor has owned the brief inside UK organisations. A self-paced diploma can list perks and yoga. It cannot tell a people director whether your offer would survive a work-related stress risk assessment.

## Common questions

**Do I need to work in HR already?**

No, but you need an organisation to design for — your employer, a client, or a realistic case we provide. Abstract wellbeing theory is not the assessment.

**Will this qualify me as an occupational-health nurse or psychologist?**

No. Those are clinical and regulated routes. This is organisational design.

**Can I take this if I only wanted to run meditation at work?**

If that is the whole job, the mindfulness programme is a better fit. This one will still make you map job design first.

**Can I pay in instalments?**

Yes. Interest-free plans total exactly £449.
