An 8-week live ADHD-coaching programme with marked recordings, taught by a coach who has worked with diagnosed adults for nine years.

## Programme facts

- Price: £449 (payment plans available, never discounted)
- Format: Live online + self-paced
- Live contact hours: 16
- Expected self-study hours: 32
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Level: All levels
- Tutor: leila-okonkwo

## Learning outcomes

- Contract ADHD coaching without implying diagnosis or a clinical second opinion
- Run a session that works with attention, time and task initiation rather than against them
- Adapt tools when medication, sleep or mood is the actual constraint
- Refer to GP, ADHD clinic or crisis services and document it
- Work with a client's existing diagnosis rather than speculating about one
- Price a package that does not depend on 'curing' ADHD

## Curriculum

1. **Diagnosis is not your job** — The clinical pathway, the waiting lists, and the sentence you will use instead of speculating.
Topics: What a diagnosis is; What coaches must not say; Working while someone is waiting; Insurance and advertising
2. **Contracting with ADHD in the room** — Session length, reminders, cancellation and what 'accountability' is allowed to mean.
Topics: Reasonable adjustments in coaching; Shame and history of being managed; Who pays, who consents; Notes
3. **Executive function as coaching, not parenting** — Time, initiation, working memory and emotion — tools that respect an adult client.
Topics: Externalising systems; Body doubling without surveillance; What fails after week two; Practice triads
4. **Medication, sleep and mood — stay in lane** — Enough knowledge to refer well, and a hard stop on advice you are not qualified to give.
Topics: Questions that belong with a prescriber; Sleep as a coaching target, not a diagnosis; Crisis presentations; Recorded session one
5. **Work, study and relationships** — Coaching the environment and the request, not 'trying harder'.
Topics: Workplace adjustments conversations; Study without becoming a tutor; Partners and family, with consent; When couples work is the wrong frame
6. **Children, schools and why this is not that** — Adult coaching versus SEND roles, SENCOs and diagnosis in childhood.
Topics: The SEND Code of Practice is a different job; What parents actually need signposted; Why we will not train SENCOs here; Referral map
7. **The offer and the ethics of 'ADHD coach'** — Naming the service so a clinic, an employer and a client all hear the same thing.
Topics: Directory listings; Social media claims; Packages versus open-ended rescue; Pricing
8. **Assessment clinic** — Live review of recordings and the written protocol.
Topics: Common boundary fails; Resubmission; Supervision after the programme; Your first ten clients

## Assessment

Two recorded coaching sessions and a written referral protocol, marked by Leila Okonkwo against a published rubric covering contracting, executive-function coaching and diagnostic boundary. Written feedback with one free resubmission. A pass does not licence diagnosis.

## Upcoming cohorts

- 2027-02-16 to 2027-04-06 — Tuesdays 19:00–21:00 UK, 8 weeks (open, cap 18)

## What is ADHD coaching?

ADHD coaching is structured support for adults who already have a diagnosis, or who are on a clinical pathway, to work with attention, time, tasks and environment. It is not diagnosis, not prescribing, and not a replacement for an ADHD clinic. The coach's job is contracts, tools and referral — not a second opinion on whether they 'really have it'.

## Do you need a qualification to be an ADHD coach in the UK?

No. ADHD coach is not a protected title, so no qualification is legally required. Diagnosis of ADHD is clinical. Training that skips that line is how coaches end up implying a diagnostic right they do not have. Assessed recordings and a written referral protocol are the commercial filter informed clients actually use.

## Is this SENCO or autism-practitioner training?

No. School SEND roles, teaching-assistant posts and the designated SENCO award sit in education employment law. This programme coaches adults. An autism-awareness diploma is not this either. If a job specification names QTS or the national SENCO award, buy that pathway — we do not sell a substitute.

## How is this different from a self-paced ADHD diploma?

Someone watches you coach and can fail you for diagnostic drift. The certificate states that you are not licensed to diagnose. A self-paced diploma can list executive-function tips. It cannot tell a buyer whether you stayed in scope when a client asked you to confirm they have ADHD.

## Common questions

**Can I coach someone who is waiting for an assessment?**

Yes, if the contract says you are not assessing them and you know where to signpost. Speculating about a diagnosis in the meantime is how this work goes wrong.

**Do I need ADHD myself to enrol?**

No. Lived experience can help and is not a credential. Assessed practice is the credential this programme awards.

**Will this let me work in schools as a SEND practitioner?**

No. Read the school or trust's person spec. This is adult coaching, not a teaching qualification.

**Can I pay in instalments?**

Yes. Interest-free plans total exactly £449.
