You will coach people who already have a diagnosis, or who are on a waiting list, without speculating. Write that into the contract before you take payment. Advertising that implies assessment is how complaints start. 2. **Get assessed on recordings, not on ADHD facts** — You can learn executive-function tips from a book. You cannot learn whether you stayed in scope when a client asked you to confirm they have ADHD. Ask for the rubric, the marker, and whether a fail is possible. Awareness diplomas skip that part. 3. **Build a referral map before you have a client** — GP, ADHD clinic, crisis services, and when to stop. 'I would probably suggest they see someone' is not a protocol. Name the wording you will use. Professional indemnity is effectively required for paid work.
